SOLICITIATIONS: The Simon and Kirby Library: Crime

Robot OverlordBy Robot OverlordOctober 18, 2011Updated:October 18, 20111 Min Read

Titan Books has announced the upcoming release of The Simon & Kirby Library: Crime, a collection of crime comics by the Joe Simon and Jack Kirby.

From the Golden Age of the comic book era comes an unrivalled collection of thrilling crime comics – torn from the headlines of the day! The Simon & Kirby Library: Crime is the latest volume in the critically acclaimed Simon & Kirby Library Series, Titan’s ambitious restorations of Simon & Kirby’s greatest adventures.

Joe Simon and Jack Kirby produced some of the hardest-hitting crime comics of the 1950s. Often featuring real-world criminals like Ma Barker, Al Capone and Pretty Boy Floyd, and true-to-life events like the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre, these adventures were torn from the post-Prohibition headlines. With an introduction from award-winning crime writer Max Allan Collins (Road to Perdition), this unique anthology, complete with full digital restorations approved by Joe Simon himself, offers some of the rarest Simon and Kirby stories collected for the first time ever.

    The collection arrives in November.
