    Stephen SchleicherBy Stephen SchleicherOctober 17, 2011Updated:October 17, 20116 Comments1 Min Read

Several of us at the Major Spoilers HQ have had the chance to look at an early copy of Batman: Year One this past week.  The movie arrives on DVD on Tuesday (review coming soon), and included on the disc is a first look at Justice League: Doom.

Justice League: Doom finds Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, Cyborg and Batman on their heels when a team of super villains discover and implement the Dark Knight’s “contingency plans” for stopping any rogue Justice League member.

I’m picking up what they are putting down.

Couldn’t get Lex or Joker though? Maybe that is a plot twist to be revealed later.

Also is this based on a trade or graphic novel?

      • Stephen Schleicher on October 17, 2011 11:09 am

Loosely based on Tower of Babel by Mark Waid.

No way. This is that? I coulda swore that was Vandal Savage not Ras, and then there was all that Legion of Doom business. Oh well, still looks good but for a second I thought I was getting yet another JLA movie.

Like Stephen said, *loosely* based. It is in fact Vandal Savage, and I’m also concerned over the proliferation of the Royal Flush Gang without Booster Gold around to stop them.

I will watch this movie, but I am concerned as to how far they’ve strayed from the source material, when the source material was so good.

Also, why’s the Kingpin in this? Or has Lex put on some weight…

What no Aquaman? Cyborg is so forced in the JLA and was never an interesting character.
