Press Release
Mangia Industry is proud to announce the release of Chris Yura’s Two Italian Guys Book 2: Things Get Interesting, the highly anticipated second book in the amusing new comic-style series, now available for download from the Apple iBookstore. The company also plans to release Book 1 and additional upcoming new titles for the iBookstore in the near future.
Two Italian Guys is presented in a unique format that combines a long-running graphic novel with a selection of humorous cartoon shorts. The reader can join the down on their luck Contino brothers when opportunity knocks, have lunch with a couple of unhinged wiseguys, watch a hilarious chef make a fool of himself, and even learn to cook with the authentic recipes that are laced throughout the book. Richard Krauss at Midnight Fiction calls the first Two Italian Guys book an “entertaining package” that is “always amusing and entertaining, if not outright hilarious.”
With the flexibility of the iBookstore’s capabilities, the reader can enjoy the content of illustration-intensive books like comics exactly as the author intends it to be seen. “I always wanted to provide my fans with the ebook option, but I didn’t want to sacrifice my books’ layout and quality or the readers’ experiences,” explains Two Italian Guys creator Chris Yura. “The colorful, landscape style of my books and the iBook format were made for each other.”
The Two Italian Guys Book 2: Things Get Interesting iBook is available for download from the Apple iBookstore (46 pages, full-color, retail price $4.99). Hardcover versions of books 1 and 2 of the Two Italian Guys series are also available atAmazon.com, TwoItalianGuys.com, and comic book stores throughout New York and New Jersey (retail price $12.95-13.95).
