Why?
“Fear Itself: The Endless Event” Because we have no idea how to compete with DC’s relaunch and we know it.
Well, other than the fact that Storm’s breasts are now Power Girl class size any interest I have in this teaser is done.
Which letter do I send:
Dear Marvel:
(a) Please stop. Thanks.
(b) I fear this has no ending. Does it?
(c) We’re now ready for Secret Wars IV.
Seriously. From what I can tell and from what I see in my bubble, Fear Itself is selling well, though not generating much buzz (the most buzz I hear about it is people who think Bucky got shafted). Not sure how the Fear Itself minis are doing, and I’m assuming that the regular comics that tie-in are doing as well as they did.
So why the sequel? Is Marvel hoping that if they push it hard enough and long enough that it’ll stick?
Or am I missing something and while I only see a big “meh” in reaction to Fear Itself, outside of what I’m able to see, read, and hear in my cozy little bubble fans and readers are really going ape for it?
