While we still have another week before Static Shock #1 arrives in stores, series artist Scott McDaniel took it upon himself to create a trailer for the book that shows off various stages of art development, as well as introducing readers to the storyline and the universe Static resides in.

I will be reading the heck out of this book.
Everytime I see the name “static shock” I think of Carpeted Man from The Tick…
I like everything about this character except his hero-name. “Oh no! Here comes Static Shock!” just doesn’t really feel like something a badguy would say whilst trembling in awe… Can we just call him Shock? or Static? (Or something else entirely?)
Actually his hero-name is Static, the title for his series is Static Shock.
Thank you for pointing that out, because I’ve never picked up on that from the limited bits of him I’ve seen. I still think “Shock” would be better, though, because “static” is the bane of laundry, not criminals. ^_^
Will be getting this, but I think I will miss the garbage can lid, I like that.
