I love the cobbled-together suit. The boots are a little big and it looks like he’s wearing a biker suit with a Spidey mask. I’m really hoping this reveal doesn’t disappoint.

I sure hope it’s better than this week’s Ultimate Fallout #3. What a huge disappointment. Total filler issue. The first 1/3 is a Tony Stark story completely unrelated to Spider-man’s funeral as is the last 1/3 of the book which is about some chick trying to mind control the Hulk. Not written by Bendis either. This is one issue to skip. A waste of $3.99.

I agree that Fallout #3 wasn’t a stellar issue… I didn’t see where they were going with the Tony Stark angle… maybe some new powerful wealthy organization reminiscent of the Hellfire Club except they are looking at a more positive angle?

The chick in this issue was Jean Grey which is currently using the alias Karen Grant; and banding mutants together to be, I assume, the new Ultimate X-Men… which is going to consist of Jean Grey/Karen Grant, Ice Man, Kitty Pryde, Rogue and Wolverine (Jimmy Hudson aka Wolverine’s Son)… now what she is doing with the Hulk (since it’s apparent that he isn’t going to be on the X-Men team when the new comic comes out) is what we have to ask ourselves… It’s obvious that she brought him to Nick Fury/SHIELD… but for what purpose…

…and since Nick Fury is giving her people a pass/protection… do we see a birth of a SHIELD sanctioned X-Men team?

    3. Giggidee on July 28, 2011 9:46 am

Hmmm… this new picture definitely brings up some new questions… For example… The suit that the New Spider-Man is wearing… is NOT the same suit that has been show on the cover of Fallout #4 or the cover of the New Ultimate Comics Spider-Man… that costume in those 2 mentioned issues is a sleek Black/Red design… Where the one in the teaser image above is clearly red/blue, with boots/gloves/knee pads…

So, are they the same Spidey? Does he have multiple outfits? Are we looking at 2 different Spideys?

      • MaximusRift on July 28, 2011 11:19 am

You think maybe we’re going to get a Spider Man version the whole 4 Supermen story?
Cyborg Spider Man! Black Costume Spider Man! Biker Spider Man! 5 year old Spider-Man! Which one are we keeping? Buy out crap comics and find out. ;p

        • Giggidee on July 28, 2011 11:30 am

I think that there is a possibility, if the Marvel team wanted to, bring a Multi Spider-Man arc into effect similar to the 4 Supermen Story… except with clones of Peter Parker/Spidey.

I kind of went over this premise in the last teaser imagine here on Major Spoilers.

There were 5 Spider-Man clone created my Dr. Ben Reilly – Richard Parker (deceased), The Scorpion (in SHIELD custody), Kaine (presumed deceased, body in SHIELD possession), Tarantula (presumed deceased, body in SHIELD possession), and Spider-Woman/Jessica Drew.

So, with that said, at then end of the Carnage arc in Ultimate Spider-Man, when SHIELD had taken Scorpion into custody and the bodies of Kaine & Tarantula… he specifically said “Get To Work” specifically directed towards SHIELD agents in regards to Scorpion.

Soooooo… Scorpion is a possibility, that he might be the NEW Spider-Man…

However, since SHIELD has 3 of 5 of the Peter Parker clones… their crack pot scientist at SHIELD can surely re-created Dr. Ben Reilly’s Spider-Man DNA work that created the first 5 Spider-Man clones…

So there could be 1… 2… Heck a TON of new Spider-Men if they wanted…

So there could be 1… 2… Heck a TON of new Spider-Men if they wanted…

Yeah, but where do you go from there? How do you make this more than just a ‘Reign of The Spider-Man?’

            • Giggidee on July 28, 2011 12:25 pm

I see you point… it could be something like DC’s “The Battle for the Cowl” in the sense that there would be 2 Spider-Men fighting each other to see you takes up the mantle…

I mean if there are really 2 Spider-Mans, and they are genetic DNA clones of Parker… they both have the “right” to be the next Spidey…

If it is indeed just 1 Spider-Man, not multiple… I do highly think it has to be a clone of Parker… maybe he just has different suits? I mean the Earth 616 Spider-Man right now has what? 3 or 4 suits… OG Red/Blue, FF White/Black, Stealth suit… etc etc…

    4. Matisleonhart on July 28, 2011 11:29 am

I’m still going with my belief that the new Spiderman is Mary Jane.

    5. ~wyntermute~ on July 28, 2011 11:43 pm

Based on the suit, I’m surprised nobody has cracked-wise and said “it’s a crossover with Kick-Ass!!”. Kick-Man? Spider-Ass? ^_^ (I am, of course, being silly.)
