After Fear Itself comes The Fearless

Stephen SchleicherBy Stephen SchleicherJuly 22, 20117 Comments1 Min Read

Just received the PR packet from Diamond regarding the next issue of Previews, and it triggered two things in my head – first, my latest order is now past due, and second, it looks like after Marvel’s Fear Itself ends, The Fearless begins.

While the front cover of PREVIEWS spotlights Image’s new hero, the back cover is dedicated to Marvel Comics’ THE FEARLESS, a series that shows readers what’s in store for their favorite characters in the wake of the Fear Itself event. THE FEARLESS #1 is a new twice‐monthly series featuring the legendary writing team of Matt Fraction, Cullen Bunn, and Chris Yost and acclaimed artists Mark Bagley and Paul Pelletier. Anyone that enjoyed Fear Itself should be interested in finding out how Captain America, the Avengers, and other characters from all across the Marvel Universe deal with the aftermath.

I suppose this wasn’t supposed to be released before the Marvel panel, but hey, we’ll take the tips where we can get ’em.

Um. Is it weird that I hate this series already?

        I don’t think so.

Nope. I’d say it’s completely normal. Here’s to wishing they’d just cut out the “event” garbage for a while instead of continually attempting these thinly veiled grabs at our wallets.

We, the readers, have trained Marvel to know that these things sell. If we really want them to change, the only way is to stop buying.

Hence why I’m here, instead of at the comic shop. :)

I like Sin as she was before her transformation. She had a unique look to her, unlike any other Marvel female.

You mean a red-head with freckles?

        Gosh, that IS unique, innit?
