Originally, Warner Bros. had slated Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel Superman movie for December 2012, but now the studio has announced it is shifting the release date.
The new date for Man of Steel has been set for June 14, 2013. This aligns the movie with the Summer Blockbuster season, but there’s been no official word on why the move took place. It could have been simply to see what other studios had in the works. We already know Monsters University is set for a June 21 opening. Everyone seems pretty up on David Goyer’s take on the hero, and Christopher Nolan has been keeping a close eye on production, so any real story/director/casting issues are probably not the case.
Of course the push means that if the studio is trying to get a Justice League movie out, this push may have affected that movie release- as well as The Flash, and the rebooted Batman flick – as well.

What “rebooted Batman flick?”
The Batman reboot that is happening following Dark Knight Rises. We’ve mentioned it a time or two on the site…
I’m interested to see what Zak Snyder can do with Nolan’s hand on his shoulder.
I’ll be interested one way or another, though Nolan, Snyder, please, please keep the red, blue, & yellow.
