Zombies invade the bars of San Francisco

Press ReleaseBy Press ReleaseMarch 28, 20111 Comment4 Mins Read

    Press Release

The dead will rise and take over San Francisco this April 1. Robert Kirkman of THE WALKING DEAD fame and hoards of his zombified fans will invade the apocalypse-worthy drinking establishments of the city by the bay, seeking the flesh of the living, and quite possibly some adult beverages as well. Isotope Comics, iFanboy, and Image Comics are teaming up for a night the city will never forget.

Walking Dead and Robert Kirkman fans of legal drinking age are welcome to join the tour as we explore the saloon strongholds throughout San Francisco. Those who fear to walk among the dead or long to trade survivor stories with Mr. Kirkman himself can buy a ticket to ride in style aboard a San Francisco tour bus with Robert Kirkman, James Sime and Conor Kilpatrick and Ron Richards of iFanboy.

James Sime, proprietor of Isotope Comics, shares tips for surviving the night, “It’s time to get zombified San Francisco!” said Sime, “Grabbing a seat on this insanely cool bus will score you VIP transport to our every stop, an exclusive WALKING DEAD SF BAR CRAWL SURVIVAL GUIDE to get autographed, and will have you rubbing shoulders with the always awesome Robert Kirkman for what will no doubt be one of the most fun nights of your life! Wear your best zombie gear, indulge in one of the many of THE WALKING DEAD drink specials the bars will be serving all night, and get a personal introduction to Robert Kirkman from yours truly! What could be better!?”

There will be a limited number of tickets available for purchase to ride along on this apocalyptic zombie bar crawl aboard the world famous MAGIC BUS (www.magicbussf.com). Tickets will cost $50 and go on sale at 3 PM Eastern / Noon Pacific on Wednesday, March 30, 2011. Tickets will be available online by visiting iFanboy.com or Isotopecomics.com on March 30th to get the exclusive link to order.

For those who miss out on this limited ticket sale, there will be another chance to win a ticket for themselves and a friend by visiting the Image Comics booth #401 at WonderCon in San Francisco. All purchases made there on Friday April 1st will enter fans in a ticket raffle. Robert Kirkman will draw the winning raffle number there at the Image Comics booth #401 at 4:30 pm.

“This stands to be one of the most unforgettable nights ever,” said iFanboy’s Ron Richards, “We’ve had some fun times with iFanboy and Isotope and all the great comic fans of San Francisco, but adding Robert Kirkman and Image Comics to our bar crawl will be epic! But we also want as many WALKING DEAD fans as possible to get to join in on the madness!”

Next week, THE WALKING DEAD zombie bar crawl route and the estimated times of arrival for the bus with Robert Kirkman will be posted on www.isotopecomics.com and www.ifanboy.com, as well as be available at Isotope Comics at 326 Fell St, San Francisco and the Image Comics booth #401 at Wonder Con.
