Wolverine has just made himself a new worst enemy by the name of Contagion and it’s time for him to let loose. But before everyone’s favorite ill-tempered mutant can give him the ol’ three-claws-to-chest treatment, he’s going have to work his way through Contagion’s legion of “unkillable” cronies. First on the list? The completely insane Madcap! Unfortunately for Logan, not only can this lunatic not die, he’s got a deadly new trick up his sleeve. Its 12 rounds (and then some) of unstoppable killing machine vs. death-defying homicidal maniac in Wolverine: The Best There Is #2, on sale this January!
Wolverine: The Best There Is #2 arrives January 5, 2010, and has a cover price of $3.99.

Attention: Madcap and Wolverine: The Dark Knight Returns wants his schtick back!
Shouldn’t this be Wolverine: Does anyone still care.

Every Wolverine story is somebody’s first Wolverine story. Hell, even *I* used to dig the character, back in ’83 or so. This comic is for the people who are still enjoying him, and the rest of us have Dragonstorm.
Is “too violent to show” to protect the kiddies on the internet or just some super lame gimmick to save the artist drawing those panels? I hope it’s the former.
I first saw Juan Jose Ryp’s art in No Hero from Avatar that Warren Ellis wrote. Trust me, he can make some damn violent looking stuff.
Agreed on Ryp… I have a sneaking suspicion that these panels are, indeed, what they say they are: Too violent for an all-ages preview.
How violent that is, of course, is gonna be all in the eye of the beholder.
