Art Appreciation Moment of the Day: Adam Hughes

Jack TriggerBy Jack TriggerOctober 13, 20104 Comments1 Min Read

I’m in the mood to feature some Adam Hughes art today, as I know it drives some of you insane when you see a girl with big boobs and a tiny waist.  This time, I think I might agree with you as Hughes offers up an image that looks really great on the top half of the body, but I think she looks too boney on the lower half.  And yes, I’m waiting to see how long it takes someone to make a comment that includes Bone, Body, and Lower Half… pervs.

A convention sketch, from the end of the con season in 2009. My sketches at the end of the con season are always the best; my convention drawing hand is really limber and ready for action at that stage. Just in time to take a few months off!

I wouldn’t necessarily call those normal-sized breasts, but I definitely saw Power Girl, too.

I like it. I espescially like the facial expression, it’s almost “peaceful” yet a hint of “playful”, which is very different from the maniacal Harley I’m so used to seeing.

Maybe its the hips (as far as Power Girl). I like the dreamy, almost Alphonse Mucha like expression to her face and eyes. Awesome – again!
