    Top Cow promotes Atom! Freeman

    Press Release

Top Cow Productions, Inc, has promoted award winning comics retailer Atom! Freeman from his current position as Direct Market Liaison to a staff position as Director Of Sales And Marketing.

“Both Matt Hawkins and I have been incredibly impressed with Atom!’s enthusiasm and drive in the short time he’s been with Top Cow,” said Publisher Filip Sablik. “He’s already implemented no less than three aggressive and smart direct market retailer programs and added valuable ideas to our ongoing marketing and promotional plans. I have no doubt he will also excel at his new post and we’re thrilled to have him on board in a more pivotal role.”

As Director, Atom! will develop and implement large-scale marketing, advertising, and promotional efforts, working closely with Top Cow’s promotional partners. He will be overseeing Top Cow’s trade show presence, developing Top Cow’s website, online retail site The Top Cow Store, bi-weekly “Moosletter,” and will remain the primary contact point for retailers.

For the past 10 years, Atom! has managed and co-owned the Eisner Award winning Brave New World Comics in Santa Clarita, California. That experience, coupled with his years as a sales representative for Fantagraphics Books and freelance writing have prepared him for this position.

“In a comic book industry that everyday seems to bring news of falling sales and layoffs, I could not be more proud of the fact that I’m being hired to help shape the future of a company who is announcing sales records. In my two months here, I’ve seen the extraordinary efforts the staff and creators of Top Cow bring to producing work of the highest possible quality. I can’t wait to get busy bragging about those efforts to everyone who will listen!” exclaimed Atom!.

Brave New World is my comic book store out here in Santa Clarita. Known Atom! and the staff for years. Congrats to him.
