Stephen SchleicherBy Stephen SchleicherSeptember 16, 20103 Comments2 Mins Read

Top Cow has released its schedule of events for this weekend’s Project Comic Con 2 in Maryland Heights, MO.

    Press Release

Top Cow Productions, Inc. proudly announced today that they will be making their debut appearance at Project: Comic Con 2 in Maryland Heights, MO, this weekend, September 18-19, 2010 at the Maryland Heights Centre.

Top Cow Publisher Filip Sablik will be joined by writer Phil Hester (The Darkness) and Bryan Edward Hill (Broken Trinity: Pandora’s Box, Pilot Season: 7 Days from Hell) along with artists Kenneth Rocafort (Cyberforce/Hunter-Killer, Velocity) and Jeremy Haun (Berserker) at the show.  Hester, Hill, Rocafort, Haun and Sablik (Pilot Season: The Asset, Last Mortal) will be on hand for signings both days at the Top Cow booth.  In addition, Sablik will be available throughout the show for portfolio reviews for aspiring artists.

The publisher will be offering an exclusive Project: Comic Con 2 variant cover to Velocity #2 for the event by Rocafort.

Also available at the Top Cow booth are free preview books and fantastic savings on trade paperbacks and convention variant covers.  Fans interested in sketches from the artists should stop by at the beginning of each day to acquire a sketch ticket.

Question: Is Velocity the poster child for Top Cow or are you choosing her each time?

I’m happy either way because I’m all about that woman. But I am curious as to her level of notoriety.

Velocity is the only Top Cow character whose powers can be described in ten words or less…

I like her too. The whole look of this series reminds me a lot of ‘Ghost in the Shell II: Man Machine Interface’ by Shirow, which I loved. The main difference is Major Kusanagi could transfer her consicousness between various bodies, which she kept stationed around the globe, whereas Taylor is still part human.
