Batman #703 arrives this week, as those closest to Batman remember the legend created by the Dark Knight.  Which shouldn’t be confused with Legends of the Dark Knight… which DC cancelled some time ago… and replaced it with (ugh) Batman Confidential.

So does anyone else think Damian should get the Bat-Boy designation… Fits with Batman Inc, fits with his ambitions and most importantly that means there’s a Robin spot open for Colin. I can see it now Batboy and Robin!

How about we leave the bat-boys in baseball. That sounds like that old Mad Magazine parody of “Bat-boy and Rubin”.

I can’t see douche-bag Damian calling himself “boy” anything since he already thinks he’s better than both Dick and Tim despite them having years of experience on him. I love Dick’s come-backs to Damian where Bruce would have slung him around by the cape and said “Shut…UP” through his teeth.

The jury’s still out on this “two Batmen” deal. Or is it one is “The Batman” and the other is “Batman and”….(Robin)?

Anywho…at least the artist here draws Robin as if he’s grown a bit since the start of the new series (as kids the age of the character normally do) and would actually pose a threat in a scrap. I dunno…I’m just still kinda leery of Robin being Ras A Gul’s grandson and the same kid that lopped off the Spook’s head when he first came to live with Bruce.

I nominate Damian as the next Robin to get whacked by Smiling Jack, but this time let’s make it permanent.
