    Comic Book Haiku

    RodrigoBy RodrigoJune 24, 20108 Comments1 Min Read

For quite some time I have been meaning to combine my interests in comic book heroes, ancient Japanese poetry and strawberry milkshakes. I really couldn’t work the last one in but if you and I are ever at Sonic together remind me to pick some up.

Anyway, here’s some stuff I wrote while I was supposed to be paying attention to a presentation during my day job:

    Emma Frost

    Hellboy

    The Hulk

    Batman

    Nick Fury

    Movie Nick Fury

As a quick note, I’d like to give a shoutout to all the brave superheroes that fight on all those world-retconning crises so that we don’t have to. The two haiku that follow are for two of the heroes most often affected.

    Spider-Man

    Superman

    Witchblade

    Anime Witchblade

    Buffy the Vampire Slayer

    Ben Grimm

    The Flash

    Red Sonja

    Wolverine

    MODOK

    Deadpool

Batman Buffy Buffy the Vampire Slayer Deadpool Emma Frost Fantastic Four Flash haiku Hellboy Hulk Incredible Hulk MODOK Nick Fury poetry Red Sonja Samuel L. Jackson Spider-Man Superman The Flash The Thing Witchblade Witchblade Anime Wolverine

Nobody really knows what Rodrigo's deal is. He is a perpetual enigma, an unknown quantity, the X factor. He's the new kid in school, the unlisted number, the person all your friends talk about, but you've never met. How can one person be so mysterious, you ask? THAT IS ALSO TOTALLY A MYSTERY! You can try to keep tabs on him on twitter by following @fearsomecritter, but that probably won't help.

Here I thought I was the only one to catch the improper 5-6-5 syllable format.

        It just lacks one word.
        More pressing a question is:
        What did Logan mean?

I hope you will again stop paying attention at your job sometime in the future, Rodrigo. We could definitely use more of these.
