“Did Joe Q, finally give in to pressure of Nerd-Rage, or was this part of his plan all along?”

I’d wager a bit of both. He most likely had two scenarios ready to go just in case.

It could also be that Disney applied a little pressure on Joe. Maybe they hate OMD as much as we do.

How about “neither?” There’s no telling what they have in mind, and assuming that we know where it’s going will lead to nothing but more nerd rage. :)

Fine. I’ll concede this time to your power of “quoting”. ;p

Here is something to chew on…Is she marrying Parker?

Got a point. She could be marrying whoever she is seeing in those books. Then Peter realizes how he loves her… que cheesy 80 hair-metal ballad and montage…

What movie was that, guy beating on the big glass wall of a church lobby to stop the wedding, then it ended up being the wrong wedding? Then another movie where the same thing happened, but he was in the balcony and it was the right wedding.

What is that image underneath MJ’s arm? And let’s be careful here-all this image could be suggesting is that we will finally get the story of what occurred on Pete and MJ’s wedding day. But I agree, Joey Q. is probably hedging his bets and gauging reader reaction throughout the whole process. P.S.: Is anyone else besides me bothered by the whole watercolor look of the art here? I’m not a big Pasqual Ferry fan….

The image under her arm looks like Spidey and Juggernaut both unconscious.

I also think this will be about what happened on their wedding day. I haven’t been following this post Brand New Day Spider-Man very closely, but I seem to recall someone from the Spidey brain trust mentioning they would go into details regarding the wedding during BND’s second year.

Anybody who thinks the nightmare is over better think it over. This is just a picture. It can have plenty of meetings. As much as I want this to be the undoing of OMD/BND, I also remember how Joe didn’t say anything about OMD until it was too late.

With great skepticism, my position will be “I’ll believe it when I see it” or “I’ll buy into it when I’m 100% sure”.

And while we’re talking about “misleading photos released by the Big Two…” Anybody remember the Countdown pics? Or how ’bout the “BatR.I.P.” Chase for the Cowl picture? WIth Bat-face, Tim Wayne, Batwoman, The Squire, and so on… I don’t really think much came from any of that, but man did they shove that pic in our collective face as “proof” of something… Think of it like so: A picture is worth a thousand UNSPECIFIED words. :D You’re gonna get _something_ outta this picture, but there’s no guarantee that it’s what Joey Q _wants_ us to get out of it. :)

Bat-Face did show up recently…Tim did try to be Batman..Squire did play an important part as a member of the network with Catwoman…I think the letdown was that we where led to believe it was connected to R.I.P specifically and not the batverse during and after.

I hate you Joe Q. If you mess up Spider-Man any more than you already have then I will make a conscious effort to buy less and less Marvel titles.

Thank you, Joe Q. For a second, I forgot why I boycott all Marvel but Agents of Atlas. Then you remind me of “One More Day” and your covert loathing of your wife for replacing your mommy. Since odds are good you’ll just make everything worse and more needlessly complicated & icky for Spidey, I now feel confident in my choice again.

The Disney thing might have merit, although they also own ABC and haven’t pulled Desperate Housewives off the air. I guess it depends on how “mature” they consider the Spider-Man character and how they feel about the idea of ending a marriage by Satanic bargain.
