MSP#144: The Blackest Night Podcast (Part 1)

    Robot OverlordBy Robot OverlordOctober 21, 2009Updated:December 31, 201311 Comments3 Mins Read

    Blackest Night Podcast

In this issue: we’re down a man, but we still soldier on, just like the Five Doctors… (Does this mean Rodrigo is Tom Baker?) Could the foul-mouthed kid from the Bad News Bears really have a head that’s sufficiently gourd-like? We need you to nerd the hell out, then send us pictures… If you don’t Stephen will read some of his poetry. Plus: Is it just a coincidence that Corps is one letter from Corpse? Tim Drake wants a speckled lemonade and some bottomless steak fries! And the robot overlord decrees a change in the running order, and you MUSTOBEY ROBOT OVERLORD, or risk being marked as not one with Landru… Please lock your seatbacks and tray tables and return the stewardess to her original upright position, as the major spoilers podcast is on the air.

Feh. Feh, I say. JONATHAN HYDE is the IDEAL Sinestro. He’s tall, he can do the intimidating British Accent, he was the fantastic Van Pelt in Jumanji. He’s perfect!

Scar was burned by the Anti-Monitor during the Sinestro War, seen how it was the fact that Krona (an immortal was somehow in the realm of the dead that alllowed Nekron to enter the land of the living before, my guess is that when the monitor burned her she actually died and has been Nekron’s puppet ever since.

Wait Soddam Yat is dead? But Arisia spoke to him in Green Lantern Corps #39, I thought Ion’s power kept the Daxam sun yellow and him trapped.

I was under the impression that he had just enough power to keep himself alive and the reaction that made the sun yellow going, but not enough to get himself out.

Shes says she wishes she had the power to pull him out, that sounds like he’s alive in there and someone strong enough coul get him out…

So as you’re talking about who would potentially be White Lantern, and mention how Superman went rainbow in his mini, it got me thinking. Superman didn’t show avarice. Would Yat? Meanwhile Larfleeze wants all the rings anyway. Maybe Larfleeze is WAY more Gollum than we think, and this ends like Return of the King. Yat has all the light but can’t come thru, Larfleeze steals it and in so doing inadvertently saves the day. And dies. Cuz ya know, Gollum.
