In regards to Diamond/DC and the Marvel/Disney deal as it relates to distribution, there is an existing deal which gives DC the option of purchasing Diamond outright. This deal is in place until 2011, and came about the first time Marvel tried distributing it’s own stuff during the Heroes World Debacle of the mid 1990s. Read the details here:
