On the Next Major Spoilers Podcast: Preacher v2: Until the End of the World

Stephen SchleicherBy Stephen SchleicherSeptember 21, 20092 Comments1 Min Read

This week, on the Major Spoilers Podcast, the crew examine the continuing adventures of Jesse Custer in the pages of Garth Ennis’ Preacher v2: Until the End of the World.

The Reverend Jesse Custer continues on his outrageous mission in the second PREACHER collection. First Jesse heads south for a brutal confrontation with the demons from his past–a trio of white trash psychos, including Jesse’s monstrous grandmother. The Jesse and company go west, only to crash a party of Babylonian proportions.

      It was good.

      Durn good.

Bloody, but overall optimistic…and with a happy ending! How many Ennis stories can say that?

This was a good continuation of the previous trade, Dillion’s art really comes together as we get a good look into Jesse’s upbringing.

Plus the Jesus De Sade’s hedonist orgy gave me a good example for an English 101 paper on the use of sex in comic books.
