Kotobukiya unveils Scarlet Witch and Thor Statues

Among the Neon Genesis Evangelion, Shining Wind Clalaclan Maid, and other models and statues, Kotobukiya has announced a new Scarlet Witch and Thor statues arriving at the end of the year.

MARVEL COMICS SCARLET WITCH BISHOUJO STATUE
A KOTOBUKIYA Japanese import!  Third in the line of Marvel Comics Bishoujo Statues (after Rogue and Black Widow) is the magical and mysterious SCARLET WITCH.  The beautiful mutant sorceress, and daughter of the incomparable Magneto, Wanda Maximoff exemplifies the Japanese Bishoujo (pretty girl) style, and was designed by the incomparable illustrator Shunya Yamashita!  Fans should be familiar with Yamashita-sensei’s style as Japan’s leading Bishoujo artist from his art books, video game work, as well as multiple figural collaborations with Kotobukiya.

The Scarlet Witch is resplendent in her signature color, with ruby-red bodysuit, gloves, boots, cape, and headdress.  She leaps right off of the comic book page in a relaxed flying pose, while she coyly points to her lips in a sultry manner.  Her excellent sculpt highlights the details of her clothing as well as her long, flowing brown hair.  The sorceress has a beautiful Bishoujo-styled facial sculpt complete with ruby lipstick and bright green eyes.

Standing at approximately 7 ½ inches tall (in 1/8 scale with the other Marvel Bishoujo statues), the Scarlet Witch was sculpted by Koei Matsumoto.  Packaged in an attractive window box, the sexy sorceress is constructed of high-quality pvc plastic.

    MARVEL COMICS PRESENTS
    THE KOTOBUKIYA COLLECTION
    THOR FINE ART STATUE

A KOTOBUKIYA Japanese import!  The mighty Norse god has never before appeared so powerful and dominating, bringing to life the current version of Thor as imagined by popular writer J. Michael Stracyzinski.  Thor stands in the midst of battle, swinging the hammer Mjollnir against the foes of Asgard.  No detail has been overlooked on the god’s intricate armor, with incredible detailing there and on his billowing cloak.  The resplendent colors of Thor’s outfit shine, with the red and blue offset by the gleaming silver of his armor.  The hero’s intense expression and dynamic pose clearly shows his power and battle prowess!

Sculpted by Shinya Akao, Thor towers over his enemies at approximately 12 inches tall (1/6th scale).  The mighty Avenger stands upon a deluxe motif base of rocky stone adorned with the god’s symbol.  This base not only looks great on its own, but it will also match those on the other Avengers Reborn Fine Art Statues!  The thunder god is the first in the all-new Avengers Reborn series, and will be joined by both Captain America and Iron Man!  Thor is constructed of high-quality cold cast porcelain and is a limited, numbered edition.

That Thor looks great! It reminds me of an old resin statue/model fromt he 80’s I got and never put together.

I like the Scarlet Witch and the others as well.

Hey, DC Direct! This is how you make an anime inspired statue of you female characters!

Yes, even though Wanda has a bit of coy sex kitten going on there, she looks phenomenal. The costume is accurate. No denim chaps to be found.

The Scarlet Witch has been a favorite of mine since I was a kid so it’s great to see this piece. Very nice!

Thor looks completely epic. Verily, he is the True Son of Asgard!

WOW! I really like the Thor. Gonna have to make some space on a shelf in the geek room for that.
