Insert funny “I Pity the Fool” headline here

Who’s afraid of flying, but loves buttermilk? If you are playing B.A. Baracus in 20th Century Fox’s A-Team movie, then you better be able to pull it off.  At least I hope that’s what Quinton “Rampage” Jackson plans as he steps up to the plate to play the muscle-bound hero of the movie.

The role of Baracus was one of the hardest to cast, as out of the all the characters from the special forces team forced to on the lam, it carries the most iconic qualities. The character was a highly skilled but ill-tempered mechanic who preferred milk over alcohol, loved to fight but was afraid to fly, and spouted catchphrases. The role made Mr. T into a household name.

50-cent, Common, and The Game were also considered for the part.  The only cast member still waiting to find an actor is Howling Mad Murdoch.

Jackson has a good look for the character. 50 Cent is too ripped. B.A. Baracus was muscled but in that broad kind of way.

      Gotta get that mohawk going.

I could buy it, I guess. But, yes, he is definitely going to have to get going on that mohawk.

… I’m not feeling it. He doesn’t seem to be intimidating. BA was a scary guy (or supposed to be) and this guy doesn’t give the vibe.

I think it’s where he has a natural broad softness under his eyes. But maybe a little movie makeup and the mohawk with send the guy into B.A. mode.

      Could have done much worse…
