SDCC’09: Zachary Quinto and Archaia Team for Announcements

Stephen SchleicherBy Stephen SchleicherJuly 22, 20093 Mins Read

    Press Release

Extending and strengthening its partnerships within the entertainment sector, Archaia revealed today it will debut an exclusive announcement with Before the Door Pictures (the production company of “Heroes” and “Star Trek” star Zachary Quinto) at San Diego Comic-Con during a panel to be held on Saturday, July 25, 5:30 p.m. in Room 5AB of the San Diego Convention Center. Accompanying Quinto will be Neal Dodson and Corey Moosa, his partners at their newly formed production company. Archaia’s Director of Development, Stephen Christy, will also be on hand to make the announcement, as well as several surprise guests.

“As a company passionate about telling unique stories, we’re thrilled to be doing that on our projects with Archaia,” said Quinto. “I’ve been immersed in the comic book world through my work as an actor, and it feels fitting that Corey, Neal and I are diving even further into it as producers. It’s my third year in a row at Comic-Con—Sylar, Spock and now Archaia.”

“I second Zachary, and add that, as a lifelong comic book fan myself, our writers are telling some awesome tales,” hinted Moosa. “We can’t wait to share them.”

“I’m incredibly excited to be able to show everyone at Comic-Con what Zachary, Corey, Neal and the Archaia staff have been working on the last few months,” said Stephen Christy, Archaia’s Director of Development. “Before the Door has a fantastic eye for new projects and new talent, and share Archaia’s excitement for creating boundary-breaking comics and graphic novels. This is a panel that fans of Archaia, Zachary and comics in general won’t want to miss!”

Those unable to make the panel should check the Archaia website (www.Archaia.com) on Sunday, July 26 for details of the announcement.

Archaia is about to release the first issue of a new mini-series called Days Missing with Roddenberry Productions, and the publisher also recently announced a partnership with The Jim Henson Company to produce comics and graphic novels based on classic titles in their vast library, such as “Fraggle Rock,” “Labyrinth” and “The Dark Crystal.”
