Green Hornet begins shooting in August, Stephen Chow still involved

Stephen SchleicherBy Stephen SchleicherJuly 5, 20094 Comments1 Min Read

After nearly a year in Pre-Pro Hell, Seth Rogen’s green hornet is finally going before the lens next month.  At one point Stephen Chow was set to direct and play Kato, but then for reasons unknown to the Intardwebz community, Chow stepped down from directing duties.  The good news is, he is still in for playing the Green Hornet’s sidekick.

Pursued by police as a wanted criminal, the masked vigilante Green Hornet is actually Britt Reid, owner and publisher of muckraking journal the Daily  Sentinel. Reid’s dual identity is known only to his secretary and the city district attorney.

The film now has a July 9, 2010 release date.

Seth Rogen needs to get fired from this already. This still has a tentative production start date, yet an official release date of July 9 2010. Stephen Chow has not said anything since he left this proposed crap-fest last year. Sony really dropped the ball this time. Hopefully this is really dead. Remember the more a project gets pushed back, and this has been pushed back many times; the less likely it’s going to happen.
