Rapid Roundup of Tinsel Town Rumors for July 1, 2009

It’s Wednesday, which means another roundup of rumors out of Tinsel Town.  This week it’s all about Transformers, Iron Man, and Megan Fox.  She’s a new Hollywood category now, right?

Richard Donner is hoping to reunite the original cast of the Goonies movie for a follow up to the 1985 hit.  It would really be interesting if Donner and Chris Columbus were able to get the Entourage star up on the screen with Josh Brolin, and Corey Feldmen.  Love the picture above, Chunk really slimmed down.

Samuel L. Jackson has finished filming his scenes for the Iron Man 2 movie, but don’t expect to see Nick Fury jumping around and firing off big guns. The star talked to Ace Showbiz and said there was plenty of Fury talk time as the character builds up to the “bad-ass zone”.

Speaking of Iron Man 2, Jon Favreau Twittered that Mickey Rourke did a bang up job as Whiplash, and that his scenes have now completed filming.

Transformers 3 still has a July 1, 2011 release date. And according to Michael Bay, Ramon Rodriquez will get a bigger part in the flick. Are we seeing the end of Shia’s character?
