The Salem witch trials of 1692 resulted in the hangings of 19 women and men. Over the years many came to realize that the trials were perhaps done in haste with no hard evidence of witchcraft being used by any of the accused.

Two hundred years later, Anna Williams, is living a regular uneventful life in Essex County, Massachusetts. But there is more to Anna than meets the eye… much more. Now Anna is beginning to discover her unique powers and knows her life will never be the same as she reluctantly decides to follow her true calling. And a hardened and bitter gunslinger named Braden Cole is the one man who can help her along the way.

    MAJOR SPOILERS DISCUSSION

    Y: The Last Man

In the series, on July 17, 2002, something (referred to as a plague) simultaneously kills every mammal possessing a Y chromosome — including embryos, fertilized eggs, and even sperm. The only exceptions appear to be Yorick Brown, a young amateur escape artist, and his Capuchin monkey, Ampersand.

Rodrigos’ review was like a sketch of Monty Ptyhon:

      – Oh, no, she is a witch!
      – A witch?!

“Reborn” sounds alot like Rebirth, the name of the original project that created Cap. Maybe it has to do with a re-start of Project Rebirth, which would mean an all new super soldier.

@Stephen: dude Earth was the 13th tribe not the 12th, Matthew, Rodrigo watch out he’s a Cylon!

To be fair “Y the last man” it’s not the first scifi story with a similar storyline, just wiki “Lithia” a 1998 Outer Limits episode, it’s basicaly a story set in the same world as “Y” but with cryogenitcs not touched by the plague and with no Yorrick like character (the male is revived from cold sleep not a survivor) and happens decades after the gendercide. It’s not a bad epi but the story and specialy the ending is too feminist (more like anti-men) for my taste.

someone has figured it out… commencing target and acquisition sequence… NOW!

    3. Ricco on June 10, 2009 3:30 pm

*raises hands* Humm… frak!… let’s not be hasty here, I’ve nerver had any problems with toaste… erm, “artificial humans”. I’m sure we can arrive at a “not killing me” solution… right?

    4. Slappy on June 10, 2009 3:56 pm

Why was Rodrigo trying to get rid of the cat during Matthews diatribe? Doesn’t he like a little pussy now and then? Were you afraid of getting an adult tag by having a feline on the air?

    5. CMonocle (Eric) on June 10, 2009 7:55 pm

I think that Rodrigo’s shorthand reviews should be a reoccurring segment. That was hilarious.

      Second that.
