I am excited about Blackest Night, but a bit disgusted with DC’s treatment of the original Crisis survivors (not to mention Martian Manhunter).

First of all, Kal-L deserves more respect than this. Dan Dididio needs a f*cking enema. Seriously!

Secondly, if you’re going to do zombie Kal-L and an inevitable confrontation/show down between him and Power Girl, I expect to see zombie Lois of Earth-2 and zombie Luthor of Earth-3 tussle, since the latter is responsible for the death of the former. I also want to zombie Luthor and the Joker kiss and make up (preferably with a hunk of Joker’s face in LL’s teeth). Ditto zombie Luthor and live Luthor.

I have no illusions that this isn’t going to be an unnecessarily violent gore-fest, as DC seems to have traded in shock and schlock for story-telling. Fine; it is what it is. But it can still be good or a complete crapfest – I hope it’s the former.
