    Warner Home Entertainment has announced it is changing the street date for the DC Universe Animated Green Lantern: First Flight Blu-Ray and DVD to July 28, 2009.

    Green Lantern: First Flight finds Hal Jordan recruited to join the Green Lantern Corps and placed under the supervision of respected senior Lantern Sinestro. The earthling soon discovers his mentor is actually the central figure in a secret conspiracy that threatens the philosophies, traditions and hierarchy of the entire Green Lantern Corps. Hal must quickly hone his newfound powers and combat the treasonous Lanterns within the ranks to maintain order in the universe.

    There’s something like three hours of bonus material in the collection, which is pretty cool, and makes the $24.99 price tag for the Blu-Ray version, well worth it.  After New Frontier, Green Lantern is the movie I am most anticipating in animated form.

    Who else is picking this up on day of release?

      Absolutely! I was a little disseminated with Superman: Doomsday and had no interest in the Wonder Woman DVD.

      I think they should release it sooner since we are on the precipice of Blackest Night.

      Stupid spell check: disseminated was supposed to be disappointed. How does that work?

      I =tried= to dare… but there don’t seem t’be no way t’make with th’ clickety-click.

      Not sure I like what sounds like the EMERALD DAWN minis being used to lay the groundwork for the movie. Maybe I’ll be proven wrong, and it’ll hew more closely to the recent Secret Origins arc than the blurb makes it sound; either way, though, I’m such a total whore for GLs not named “Kyle”, I’ll be in, regardless.
