Top 300 Comics for February 2009

Stephen SchleicherBy Stephen SchleicherMarch 17, 20094 Comments1 Min Read

Diamond Comic Distributors sent the breakdown of the top comics sold during February 2009.  Not surprising, Marvel’s Amazing Spider-Man #583 ruled the top spot with the fifth printing of the Obama cover. This lead to Marvel taking the number one position for publishers during the month, grabbing nearly 45% of the dollar share for the month.

Batman #686 came in second place with only Justice League of America #30 joining the title in the Top 10 list.  Buffy once again served Dark Horse Comics well, placing 12th once again.  Of the series that were canceled by DC in February, Blue Beetle #36 finished in the top half of the list (barely), Birds of Prey #127 finished 90th, Robin #183 at 56th, and Nightwing #153 in 36th place.

Take the jump for the complete rundown that you can sort by place, title, price or company.

I didnt even read any DC events and I know they were better than 20% more of a share than the crap that was Secret Invasion

Dark Avengers is in the top 5? Seriously?

I better never hear another comic book fan whine about nonstop events and crossovers.

I’m surprised that the top 5 were all above $3, god let my titles hold out a little more.
