    Stretch Armstrong: THE MOVIE!

    Stephen SchleicherBy Stephen SchleicherFebruary 13, 2009Updated:February 13, 20094 Comments1 Min Read

If you thought the G.I. Joe movie looked ridiculous, just wait until you see the first trailer for the Steve Oedekerk Stretch Armstrong movie.  Stretch Armstrong?  I remember that guy!

“This is a new well from which to draw intellectual properties that bring a pre-awareness and nostalgia,” Schneir said. “They are drawing filmmakers who find a real emotional connection and resonance, and this is proving to be a compelling driver for motion pictures.”

The toy from the 70’s also featured a monster, a dog, and an evil twin brother.  The last time a Stretch Armstrong movie tried to get made, it was with Danny DeVito and Jackie Chan.  No release date or stars have been attached.

The G.I. Joe movie does not look ridiculous. I demand you take that back immediately.
