    Dusty Abell Rocks My Memories

Stephen SchleicherBy Stephen SchleicherJanuary 27, 20094 Comments1 Min Read

I’ve mentioned the Clockwork Storybook men more than once on Major Spoilers.  We’ve had the pleasure of welcoming Matthew Sturges and Mark Finn to the Major Spoilers Podcast, and while I continue to work on the other two scribes, Chris Roberson surprises the hell out of me by posting Dusty Abell’s fantastic homage to the great sci-fi television series from the 70’s and 80’s.

You really need to click the thumbnail below to get the full image and appreciate the work that went into this piece.  How many characters and shows can you name?

Guess what is now my new desktop image?

Oh, the fourth Clockwork Storybook scribe is Bill Willingham, FWIW.

Wow, this is the coolest! I’ve spent the last 15 minutes just soaking in every detail. I can’t believe he fit in Captain Quark– now that’s getting obscure!

I don’t know the lady in the red-white-and-blue spandex in the center– but I’d like to!

Other references that went over my head: I’m not sure about the guy in front of Tardis pulling off his hand– also not sure what Twiki is holding there– whatever it is it’s blocking poor Dr. Theopolis out of the picture!

The guy pulling off his hand is Daniel Weston, the Invisible Man.

The woman in red, white, and blue is, believe it or not, Cathy Crosby as Wonder Woman.

Twiki seems to be holding the tiny ship from Land of the Giants, I think.

The first picture wins the awesome award just for having Jamie Sommers’ bionic dog with her – so help me, I thought I made that up!

S.I.D. and a UFO, but no Ayshea or other live characters?
