Marv The Heavy in Iron Man 2?

Stephen SchleicherBy Stephen SchleicherJanuary 7, 20098 Comments1 Min Read

According to Variety, Mickey Rourke is in talks with Marvel Studios for a part in the upcoming Iron Man 2 sequel.

…Rourke is in discussions to play the Crimson Dynamo, a heavily tattooed Russian arms dealer. He’s considered to be an evil version of Iron Man because he battles the superhero in a nuclear-powered suit of armor.

Interesting choice if it plays out.  Rourke is on a high recently after his stellar performance in The Wrestler.  Major Spoilers fans will remember Rourke in his performance as Marv in the the Robert Rodriguez/Frank Miller adaptation of Sin City.

WOW! Just what we need in a sequel! It will be great to see Iron Man take on a bad guy in another suit of armor like him! Oh, wait…

What the hell happened to his head? Usually a hero character has a normal face (sort of) and then a square jaw, not a square head and then a normal chin.

He going to start drinking have his tech taken and used against him pepper will get hurt and James Rhodes will have to battle him .I also think he will have a Hostile Takeover of his company by Justin .maybe Crimson Dynamo could be a member of some russian militant extremist group somehow associated with the ten rings? thats how they’re going to incorporate the Crimson Dynamo into the modern world setting without the backdrop of Communist Russia and all of that i bet.

Here the casting info on black widow

According to casting calls, they still need to cast ” a “beautiful [female lead who] speaks several languages fluently and is equally proficient in martial arts” in her twenties, who is Tony Stark’s assistant Natasha .

      u guys forgot
Sam Rockwell would play Justin Hammer, a multibillionaire businessman and a rival of industrialist Tony Stark, AKA Iron Man, being played by a returning Robert Downey Jr.

I like both of these moves, fits in the grove Marvel’s been in of casting talented, compelling actors. This would be bad-ass indeed.
