    More Watchmen Footage

Stephen SchleicherBy Stephen SchleicherOctober 22, 20086 Comments1 Min Read

    From the 2008 Scream Awards.

If the rumors about the ending are true, then so much for staying true to the source material.

I think for the mass market the ending is perfect. However for us who want to go completely by the source material it sucks.

I am a hypocrite when it comes to adaptations turning into movies. On one hand I think it is okay for a movie to be re-imagined and put on the big screen, but then again if they screw up Deadpool I am going to be kind of mad.

Then again comic books do it all the time!! Look at the Ultimates, All Star Batman etc…etc….

So yeah….I read the spoiler from one of the threads off of rottentomatoes.com and I think the ending will work perfect for this day and age.

what rumors, i haven’t read anything about the ending yet. i’m gonna have to search for it i guess

What rumors exist about the ending?

I think this new footage looks AWESOME! Rorsach has a few cool bits, esp. when he lands at Blake’s window!!

I had never heard of Watchmen 6 months ago and now I have read the book twice and am waiting with baited breath for this movie!

      D!

It really wouldn’t surprise me if they were spreading rumors about the ending to throw off people who haven’t read Watchmen. It really is a hell of an ending, and came as quite a surprise (to me anyway), and a subversion of how typical “superhero” stories normally end.

Why the hell did the rorschach blot look like a mustache on Rorschach in that scene where he’s at Blake’s window? Why the fuck is Veidt wearing a different costume? And yes the ending is going to be modified. The original Watchmen trailer and original Max Payne trailers were awesome… but everyone knows that Max Payne has gotten shitty reviews so… Its obvious that the trailer crews have upped their talent in the years, but the hype can only do so much.

i don’t think it look like a mustache.

and it’s not a surprise that they changed veidt’s costume. i don’t think the old costume would look very good on the big screen.

hey, they changed silk spectre costume too, i don’t hear you complaining.
