Yep, the black guy is the MArtian Manhunter. He first came into the show during season 4 I believe, and he was leaving oreos behind as sort of calling cards.

Great job guys, this is the first episode I have listened to, found you guys via MyExtraLife. Can’t wait for the next episode!

    3. Slappy on September 21, 2008 7:40 pm

The black dude is the Martian Manhunter who according to Smallville continuity was formerly the assistant to Jor-el but now watched over Tom Welling from afar. He did leave Oreo’s in his first few shadowy appearances. (For all non Giffen JLA, JLI, JLE fans, JJ’s addiction to Oreos was a running Gag for a number of years in those titles. They were something you just did not mess with if you knew what was good for you.)

Secondly regarding the golden age. The fact that the JSA retired instead of unmasking before HUAC was well documented in the Mid-eighties “Who’s Who in the DC Unrse” series. All of the individual former JSAer entries mentioned this fact. Slowly but surely as teneased on Earth 2, some of the Heroes gradually came out of retirement. Green Lantern as always based out of Gotham, even post Crisis (the one and Only).
In my opinin, the story could be Canon. It fits well into the previously established History, and furthermore the Hitler Brain thingee is about as imaginable as somebody getting super powers from a cow that that was not really a cow but an Alien disguised as a cow against his will.

Until the lovechild between Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Able of House of Mystery & Secrets fame have a love child that rules over Asgard and the 5th World make mine Major Spoilers!! Excalibre!!!!!
