My first comment on the site…Hoorray for Zoidy !

I don’t think I’ll be reading Marvel Apes…it’s not a risk I’m willing to take. Ape alternate version of Spider-Woman (or any comic babe, btw)…the horror…the horror.

Anyway, I have voted for Zoidberg too. And yes, he has a first and even middle name : it’s John A. Zoidberg.

Personally, I absolutely loved Last Will and Testament : it has such powerful moments, very emotional moments (poor Kory…I remember Titans-of-Tomorrow-Flamebird telling her she had a great future with Nightwing…poor Kory), a very nice fight (after all, it’s Deathstroke), and there is just a wonderful character management, with a very touching Geo-Force. The guy throws a fit that moves a mountain three inches, then is just broken by Slade (and not just because there are swords in his legs)…and that last moment when Black Lightning congratulates him on not giving up, when you know he actually has tried to kill himself…That’s some flawed, human, vulnerable portrayal. Just great.

But I’m just a sucker for any Brad Meltzer story. That and I really like Geo-Force, for the same reason I like Aquaman : I’ve got a soft spot for c-list and royalty characters. And it’s Adam Kubert for the win. Not to mention that last Hal Jordan moment : “Its the end of the world ? Ok, I’ll see you tomorrow”…Ok, I’ll stop with Brad Meltzer.

Great podcast, I was waiting for another Hellboy review since you did the Crooked Man #1 ; that was very nice. Btw, I think you get to see those space guys who monitor the Ogdruu Jahad again. In Conqueror Worm, I think there is one of them, dying in Hunte Castle. Anyway.

Great job, I look forward to a BPRD review, and I’ll be sure to come back for the podcast next week.

Thanks for listening in JB! Make sure you tell your friends and let’s get a big party started. BPRD? Hmmm… maybe…
