Shirley Manson Set for Sarah Connor Chronicles

Stephen SchleicherBy Stephen SchleicherMay 29, 20085 Comments1 Min Read

Shirley Manson, the lead singer for Garbage, has been cast as recurring character Catherine Weaver in Fox’s second season of Sarah Connor Chronicles.

The Weaver character is described as the CEO of a “cutting edge technology company”, which I hope means high-tech hardware and not Web 2.0 startup vying for attention from Michael Arrington.

I have yet to watch a single episode of the series starring Lena Headey as Sarah Connor, Thomas Dekker as John Connor, and Summer Glau as terminator Cameron Phillips. Is it good, bad, or just something to sit back and fill the hour between other network shows?

A little from column A, a little from column B. But it comes with an egg roll!

I found this show as a great filler for when Heroes went off the air for the writers strike. Thankfully, Fox is smart enough to not attempt to put it up against Heroes in the fall, I believe it will air Mondays at 8 with Heroes at 9pm. Solid 2 hour block of tv right there.

It especially helps to be a fan of Summer Glau’s, she’s purty and kicks butt, what could be better.

Its more then decent (Chuck) but a lot less then phenomenal (Dexter) and a tad below Heroes and Reaper. Season finale was good though. But let it pick up…. its wont impress you from the beginning and it does have its cheesy moments but the good parts are good, and season one should last this short dry season until all the big shows return.

Somewhere above filler and below good.
