Top Cow Solicitations for July 2008

Stephen SchleicherBy Stephen SchleicherApril 8, 20085 Mins Read

Top Cow Productions has sent Major Spoilers the cover images and solicitation information for titles shipping July 2008.

    Broken Trinity #1
    (W) Ron Marz
    (A) Stjepan Sejic
    (Cov) Stjepan Sejic, Luke Ross

In 2007, Top Cow unleashed First Born, hailed by critics as “a quality mini-series,” “required reading” and “an epic adventure.” That storyline changed the Top Cow Universe forever. But that was just the beginning.

Broken Trinity brings together the Witchblade, The Darkness and Angelus once more, but this time the stakes are even higher as a new artifact is discovered, forever upsetting the balance of power. By the conclusion of the crossover, a major new player will be introduced into the Top Cow Universe, while at least one established character will be gone forever. The team of Marz and Sejic that dazzled you with First Born and their ongoing adventures on Witchblade is back to change the face of the Top Cow Universe one more time. Also featuring part one of a stunning triptych variant cover by Luke Ross (Indiana Jones, Green Lantern Corps).
Broken Trinity #1 kicks off a three-issue limited series, augmented by three, stand-alone, tie-in issues for Witchblade, The Darkness and Angelus.

    Cover A – Stjepan Sejic
    Cover B – Luke Ross

    Pilot Season: The Core #1
    (W) Jonathan Hickman
    (A) Kenneth Rocafort
    (Cov) Jonathan Hickman

The Core is the center of the known universe where ancient and well-established species have created powerful empires, federations and cooperatives. The Core is also the most dangerous place in existence, and younger races are not welcomed warmly. When the first human is appointed to an extraterrestrial Special Forces unit, the soldier must first earn the respect of his peers as he fights for the recognition of his species.
The writing of critically acclaimed scribe Jonathan Hickman (Nightly News, Pax Romana) and the distinct stylings of Madame Mirage artist Kenneth Rocafort combine for this unique Pilot Season book!

Full Color 32 pages $3.99 Pilot Issue

    Pilot Season: Urban Myths #1
    (W) Jay Faerber
    (A) Jorge Molina
    (Cov) Jorge Molina

Journey to New Athens — a modern-day world where humans still worship the Greek Gods and the Greek Gods still meddle in the lives of men. In this world, if you think your wife’s cheating on you, first you pray to Aphrodite for a way to win her back. If that doesn’t work, you hire Jack Medusa, private eye, to get the goods on film. Son of the infamous Medusa, Jack wears a metal mask to protect the people around him. He’s a social leper but a damn good P.I., and he takes on cases the police won’t touch.
From fan-favorite writer Jay Faerber (Dynamo 5, Noble Causes) and fresh newcomer Jorge Molina (Superman/Batman Annual).
This is the last but not least of the Pilot Season 2008 books! Be sure to visit www.topcow.com for details on how to vote on which one of the Pilot Season books is your favorite to get its own series!
