Homer Offers Donut to Horny Giant

“They” are going all out to promote the Simpson’s movie. First it was turning 7/11s into Kwik-E Marts, now it is mocking an ancient carving in England.

In Dorset there is a giant chalk carving of a naked, sexually aroused giant, that many believe is an early symbol of ancient spirituality. Next to said carving, some jokers painted Homer offering the giant a donut… or is he playing ring toss?  It’s so hard to tell…

The painted Simpsons character has been painted with water-based biodegradable paint which will wash away as soon as it rains.

Ann Bryn-Evans, joint Wessex district manager for The Pagan Federation, said: “We were hoping for some dry weather but I think I have changed my mind.

“We’ll be doing some rain magic to bring the rain and wash it away.”

She added: “I’m amazed they got permission to do something so ridiculous. It’s an area of scientific interest.”

According to the BBC report, this isn’t the first time Mister-stand-at-attention has been used in an advertising campaign.

I say kudos to the 20th Century for having some fun in promoting the movie, let’s just hope they are as understanding should the movie tank, with the jokes being made on them.

She means it’s an area of HISTORICAL interest. There is no religion in science.

According to the Canadian Press there is a history of couples wanting to concieve visiting the site. Apparently the Homer icon has a caption that says “Do it in the Doughnut” to encourage said activities:-)
