I think the concept of Orem having Torq with him could have been explained to Trelle in terms of hunting. Orem, on his own, is like a dainty little fawn. You’d think he’d be easy prey right up until he tosses a fireball at you. Orem and Torq together would be like a dainty little fawn walking beside a giant dire bear. Probably best to go after something else.

I can’t wait to hear more. I HATE, HAAATE that these episodes only come out once a week.

Also, I think Stagzi’s alias is “Maldovoos” or something along those lines.

I lucked out and got this episode as a nice birthday present. Had it on in the background as I deal with a seriously fussy baby while my wife is at work. Thanks for making my day a bit better!

Can you imagine Orem running a inn or a tavern when he finishes his adventuring?

Orem’s going to find himself a sugar mama back in the feywild once all this blows over.

probably the winter queen. she lives near an eladrin town!

How about the Eladrin lass he met in the Astral Sea. She already had knowledge of operating a business.

I have a bad feeling he’s now become beholden to a criminal element. I agree though, this is almost as good as when he passed himself off as that professors nephew.

      Hey all,

I’m re-listening to the entire series again, trying to catch up after a long hiatus (stopped listening during the off season after Lords of the Feywild finally concluded – personal reasons). Six months since I started at S01E01 Dramatis Personae, and I’m only at Ep 217!! Sigh…. At least I’m getting there…

That being said I’m very glad I’m re-listening! I am picking up a lot more of the minor details, understanding the story better, and the characters seem much deeper and more well-thought-out than I originally believed. I’m even finding I no longer agree with some of my earlier comments (though most of them I do). :-)

An example of some nuances I’m getting this time around that were missed before: Realizing this episode that Orem very quickly fell into dealing with the mafia of this city, and being totally clueless about it (as was I the first time through). Brilliant role-playing by both Stephen and Rodrigo there. Maybe I had better insight because I recently watched The Sopranos? Ha!

Also didn’t get or appreciate SO MANY BIRD JOKES IN SO MANY OF THE PREVIOUS EPISODES!! Oh man I was crying from laughter so many times.

I’m glad to see CH still ongoing (at the time I post this #437 just came out), though I cringe every Saturday because that’s one more episode to listen to before catching up myself. LOL! Happy to be a monthly Patreon supporter!!

      Scott
