SOLICITATIONS: The Waking: Dreams End

Zenescope Entertainment has announced plans to release a follow up to their hit comic book series, The Waking, first published by the company in 2010.  The new series, entitled The Waking: Dreams End, is written by Raven Gregory (FLY, Return To Wonderland) with interior art by Novo Malgapo (Grimm Fairy Tales).

DIGITAL COMICS: Zenescope headed to PSP

Zenescope Entertainment has announced to offer its comic book and graphic novel library for digital download on PSP™ (PlayStation®Portable). Best known for dark re-inventions of classic fairy tales and literature such as Grimm Fairy Tales and Return to Wonderland, Zenescope plans to roll out its titles over the next several months through PlayStation Network via its comic store on PlayStation® Store. Much of Zenescope’s digital line will be priced at 1.99USD/ 1.44EUR per issue with select books also being available for free download including the first issue of its flagship title Grimm Fairy Tales: Red Riding Hood. Zenescope has been releasing digital content since 2008 and currently offers downloads through apps and websites like comiXology, Graphic.ly and WOWIO.

Zenescope announces new ongoing

Zenescope Entertainment has announced it has a brand new series spinning out of the Grimm Fairy Tale series. Grimm Fairy Tales Myths and Legends will feature Red Riding Hood in the first story arc, and will be written by Raven Gregory, with interior art by David Miller.

And if you think Grimm Fairy Tales has interesting covers now, wait until you see what J. Scott Campbell, Eric Basaldua, and Mike DeBalfo are offering up for the first issue.

Zenescope gets sharks, dinos, and predatory animals

Silver Dragon Books, a division of Zenescope Entertainment, today announced it has entered into an agreement with Discovery Communications to produce three graphic novels over the next 12 months. The books will expand on Discovery’s mission to satisfy consumers’ curiosity and will focus on three of the company’s most popular programming genres: sharks, dinosaurs and predatory animals.

The first in a series of three graphic novels, Discovery Channel’s Top Ten Deadliest Sharks (wt), will be released in August, tied to Discovery Channel’s annual rite of summer, Shark Week. It will be followed by Discovery Channel’s Dinosaurs & Prehistoric Predators (wt) and Animal Planet’s Top 10 Most Dangerous Animals (wt).
