X-Force #21 sells out, back to print of course

Marvel has announced the latest installment of the X-Necrosha storyline that appeared in X-Force #21 caused the issue to sell out at the distributor level, prompting the company to send the issue back to press.  X-Force #21, featuring a variant cover by Clayton Crain arrives in stores on December 23, 2009, and features a cover price of $2.99.

Strange Tales #1 and Hulk #14 sell out

Marvel has announced that Strange Tales #1, the first in a three issue mini-series, has sold out at the distributor level, prompting the company to send the issue back to press. Likewise, the Hulk #14, featuring the Rulk seeking revenge on Domino, sold out as well.  Both issues will be getting the variant treatment, that you can see after the jump.

SDCC’09: Kotobukiya to give away $25,000 in prizes

Kotobukiya dropped us a quick email to let us know that the company plans on giving away a lot of prizes at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. You’ll have to take the jump to see the full details, but it does make me jealous that I can’t go this year.

SDCC’09: Kotobukiya unveils X-Force Wolverine exclusive

Kotobukiya announced another  San Diego Comic-Con exclusive in the form of X-Force: Wolverine Fine Art Bust.

Posed as though daring an enemy to make the first move, Wolverine turns to the side with his right arm raised up and the left pointed down.  His claws, 2 1/3 inches long and made of real metal, are extended on both hands.  As part of The Kotobukiya Collection of Fine Art Busts, Wolverine stands 9 inches tall, and is constructed of cold cast porcelain.   Logan is sculpted by master artist Junnosuke Abe and rests atop a specialized base decorated by a relief sculpture of Logan’s civilian face.

The bust is limited to 500 pieces and is only available at the convention at the Kotobukiya’s booth (#2601).  Take the jump for a huge gallery of images.

Filip Sablik Signing This Wednesday, Promotes Fusion #1, Checks Out Your Doodles

The Top Cow Productions/Marvel Comics crossover comic Fusion arrives this week, and Top Cow publisher Filip Sablik is going to promote the event by signing copies at Collector’s Paradise in Winnetka, CA.

From the press release:

The publisher is teaming with the popular Los Angeles area retailer to hand sell copies of the three issue limited series directly to fans. Beginning at 11am on Wednesday, May 13th, Sablik will act as a regular sales associate, ringing up customers, making recommendations, and following store owner Edward Greenberg’s every order. Additionally, the publisher will offer portfolio reviews to aspiring artists visiting the store.

Cable #14 Back to Press

Cable and the X-Force are teaming up — in the future!  It’s all part of the Messiah War event, and apparently it is so good that Cable #14 completely sold out and is going back to print.  Well, that or there was a low initial print run…

In any case Cable #14, the second printing arrives in stores June 10, 2009, with a cover price of $2.99.

Stryfe captured Hope, but just because Cable’s been separated from the Mutant Messiah, doesn’t mean he’s about to give up! Time is running out for the X-Force – can they find their way out of a deadly trap before it’s too late?

Top Cow and Marvel Team for Fusion #1 Crossover

LOS ANGELES, Calif., March 25th, 2009– Top Cow Productions, Inc. proudly announced today that the characters from their popular titles Hunter-Killer and Cyberforce will team up against The Mighty Avengers and Thunderbolts from Marvel Comics, in Fusion, a three part crossover mini-series with the first issue to debut in May 2009.

As a summer crossover event, Fusion represents an apex in the continuation of an ongoing packaging agreement between Top Cow Productions and Marvel Comics that began in 2006.  The agreement between the two companies produced a number of great stories such as The Darkness/Wolverine, Cyberforce/X-Men, Witchblade/Punisher as well as a Magdalena/ Daredevil match-up.
