NAMCO BANDAI Games Inc., a subsidiary of NAMCO BANDAI Holdings Inc. (TYO: 7832), announced today the addition of a new webcomic based on the iconic Katamari series to its ShiftyLook media platform. The new webcomic, simply titled Katamari, will be written and drawn by Alex Culang and Raynato Castro of Buttersafe and will updated Mondays and Wednesdays starting September 17, 2012. I get requests to start or support a Kickstarter campaign on a daily basis, and while there have been a lot of horror stories associated with those who are bit on the shady side, Rich Burlew has a Kickstarter runaway hit with his Order of the Stick Reprint Drive, which has passed one million dollars.

This weekend, on the Major Spoilers Podcast, we spent some time talking about online sources like Kickstarter and Indiegogo as places where small projects can get off the ground.
