Appearing on NPR this weekend, Stephen King let slip that Marvel Comics will also be adapting his well known virus-kills-everyone-or almost-everyone-who-form-two-groups-with-good-winning-in-the-end The Stand into comic form. “I did go to Marvel and asked them… if they would have any interest in adapting the Stand as a graphic novel, and they are going to do that – Marvel is going to do The Stand as a graphic novel.” I didn’t read the Dark Tower series Marvel put out, but I do know King fans loved the adaptation.
