As any comic fan knows, Marvel just loves their events. It seems like every year we are getting a new company wide, multi-series spanning, universe altering event from the House of Ideas. This year’s (or 2013 for you future people) is Age of Ultron, bringing back the infamous automaton (and notable Avengers villain), Ultron! In a dystopian future ravaged by the robot army of Ultron, who will survive? Just who exactly is pulling the strings? Is the story worth reading? Find out the answer to at least one of these questions in your Major Spoilers review!
Marvel asks the question that is on everyone’s lips this weekend, “Who will emerge from the Age of Ultron?” Instead of providing an answer, the company sent a teaser that shows a number of battered and beaten heroes.
This March, enter the darkest days of the Marvel Universe as Earth’s Mightiest fight for survival in Age of Ultron #1 as they’re faced with only two choices—Submit Or Perish! From the blockbuster creative team of Brian Michael Bendis (All New X-Men, Avengers, Ultimate Comics Spider-Man), Bryan Hitch (Ultimates, Fantastic Four), Carlos Pacheco (Uncanny X-Men) & Brandon Peterson (AvX: VS) comes an event years in the making pitting the Marvel Universe against one of their greatest threats! Ultron, a deadly sentient robot created by founding Avenger Hank Pym who turned on his creator to achieve his twisted objective…the utter destruction of humanity. Now that Ultron has conquered, enslaving most of the world’s Super Heroes, it’s up to a small group of resistance fighters—including Invisible Woman, Taskmaster, Beast, Emma Frost, She-Hulk, Luke Cage, Spider-Man, Wolverine and Moon Knight—to find a way overcome darkness and bring hope back a world that has suddenly lost everything. Once this landmark ten-issue event concludes, the reverberations will be felt in every corner of the Marvel Universe, leaving no hero or villain unscathed.
Marvel sent out a new teaser image for something that happens in 2013. Yes, we already spoiled the translation for you.
New Comic Book Day is quickly becoming New Toy Day at local comic book and specialty stores. This week, Diamond Select Toys has a number of new products arriving including a new Marvel Select Ultron figure.
Who doesn’t want an Ultron action figure? It’s one of the figures that make perfect send to add to the Marvel Select line of toys, and Diamond Select Toys and Gentle Giant are bringing the figure to toy shelves in August.
For pity’s sake, will you all just leave Henry Jonathan Pym alone! He has been around for close on half a century now and he has never, ever had a fair shake from anyone. We all know and appreciate that Stan’s winning formula was to put all of his heroes through an emotional mill, but Hank seems to be the dog that everyone likes to kick and I’m getting totally sick of it.

Manga favorite Naruto came in at the number three position, with Marvel making its first appearance at #6 with Spider-Man One More Day Premiere Hardcover. DC came out on top trade wise goes taking the number one and number two spots on the list and also garnering a third position in the top 5 with DMZ.
