TwoMorrows offers 7 free digital editions

TwoMorrows publishing has announced it has added seven free digital editions of their magazines to their website.

“We’ve actually been offering Digital Editions of our magazines for several years,” said Morrow, “but we’ve seen a surge of interest in them of late, no doubt thanks to the success of Apple’s iPad, and the recent digital moves by both Marvel and DC Comics. So I felt it was time to offer readers a free sample issue of all our latest issues, so they can try a mag they might never have seen, all of which are available in both print and digital versions.”

The free editions are full-color PDFs, viewable on any device that can read PDF files.

TwoMorrows offers free preview of Vince Colletta book

Press Release

Vince Colletta has long been a controversial figure in comics history, known for his ability to ink an entire comic book over a weekend when needed, but often taking some startling shortcuts to meet his deadlines. He’s famous for inking such prominient comics artists as Jack Kirby (with a long run on THOR in the 1960s), Mike Grell (on WARLORD in the late 1970s), and nearly every other major artist at one time or another from the 1960s to the 1980s. He was rumored to have mafia connections and a side career photographing models and movie stars, and lived in a palatial estate that shouldn’t have been economically feasible on an inker’s salary. His departure from comics in the late 1980s was punctuated with a notorious letter to Marvel Comics’ editorial staff following the ousting of Jim Shooter as Marvel’s editor-in-chief, and that letter, vehemently defending Shooter, has only heightened the mystery surrounding this amazingly prolific comics artist.

I like that TwoMorrows is offering up free digital copies, as it gives everyone a chance to check out the future of publishing.  And I have purchased BrickJournal many times, and for LEGO fants, it is a must read.  All you have to do is log into the site and add the issues to your shopping cart, checkout and enjoy.
