TOYS: Diamond Comic to distribute toys and action figures based on Viz Media Properties

Diamond Comic Distributors and VIZ Media, LLC have reached an agreement that will distribute Japanese merchandise based on the company’s highly sought after properties in North America for the first time, including products based on the commercially successful and acclaimed titles NARUTO, BLEACH, TIGER & BUNNY, BERSERK, DEATH NOTE, and INUYASHA. Diamond Comic Distributors will carry a broad selection of action figures, toys, and collectibles from licensed VIZ Media titles, previously unavailable outside of Japan due to licensing restrictions.

The undead/creepy/bizarre toy craze has been going on for over a decade, and now that toys like Ugly Dolls, The Living Dead Dolls, and Mattel’s Monster High dolls are going strong, creators are looking for the next big thing. “My Little Pony” storybook illustrator Gayle Middleton, who in 2005 redesigned Hasbro’s Littlest Pet Shop toy line, thinks she may have found it, and is Kickstarter to launch the new line.
