If you want to add Tom Holland’s Spider-Man Homecoming suit to your growing Nerd Room of Doom, an upcoming auction will allow you to bid on the suit and help Toys for Tots.
With Spider-Man Homecoming just around the corner, it was just a matter of time before Hot Toys unveiled its line of sixth scale figures based on the movie. First up is Peter Parker’s homemade spider-suit.
Tom Holland may have been the best part of Captain America: Civil War, as his youthful enthusiasm as Spider-Man brought a smile to our faces and made us want to see more of the actor as the wall crawler. Now we have our first look at the poster for the movie, and we want to see Spider-Man Homecoming even sooner!
Though we get to see the new Spider-Man next month in Captain America: Civil War, fans have been wondering when they would get to see a new stand-alone Spider-Man flick. Sony Pictures announced at CinemaCon that they are hoping for three movies, and revealed the title of the first film.
In an interview with Empire Magazine director of the upcoming Spider-Man movie for Sony Pictures Jon Watts revealed the age of this incarnation of Peter Parker. Watts stated, “I love the idea of making a coming-of-age high-school movie. We’re really going to see Peter Parker in high school and get deeper into that side of it. He’s just 15 now.” Watts also went on to comment on Spidey’s origin, or the lack thereof, “There are only so many times you can kill Uncle Ben.” Given that actor Tom Holland is 19-years-old this announcement from Watts makes a lot of sense.
Press Release Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios are proud to announce that after a full worldwide casting search, Tom Holland will play Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the next Spider-Man film, in theaters in IMAX and 3D on July 28, 2017. The film will be directed by Jon Watts, director of “Cop Car,” the upcoming thriller that made its debut earlier this year at the Sundance Film Festival.
