SOLICITATIONS: Tim Bradstreet to provide cover for Head Smash

The Vladar Company announced today that they will be kicking off a nation-wide promotional campaign for their upcoming graphic novel HEAD SMASH, created by Vlad Yudin. Scheduled to hit stores on July 31st of this year, renowned comics artist and illustrator Tim Bradstreet (BLADE, THE PUNISHER, TRUE BLOOD) will be providing the cover artwork to the highly anticipated publication. As the winner of multiple Eisner awards for Best Cover Artist, Bradstreet has created over 70 classic covers, including the 2006 Iron Maiden album cover ‘A Matter of Life and Death.”

SOLICITATIONS: BOOM! Studios announces Hellraiser ongoing

This February, BOOM! Studios will relaunch the HELLRAISER franchise with HELLRAISER: THE DARK WATCH, an all-new ongoing monthly series. The relaunch of this incredibly popular series will be co-written by creator Clive Barker and Brandon Seifert (WITCH DOCTOR, HELLRAISER: THE ROAD BELOW) and illustrated by newcomer Tom Garcia (HELLRAISER).

28 Days Later #2 sells out and is going back to press

Boom! Studios has announced the second issue of 28 Days Later sold out at the distributor level, immediately after release.  This has prompted the company to send the issue back to press in order to get it in readers’ hand by mid-October.

28 DAYS LATER #2 is written by Michael Alan Nelson with interior art by Declan Shalvey and colors by Nick Filardi, with the first print shipping with two covers in a 50/50 split by Tim Bradstreet and Sean Phillips. A third cover by DNA Films was offered as a 1 in 10 incentive.

BOOM! Studios announced today that  28 DAYS LATER #1 has sold out almost immediately after release.

Fans should keep in mind, while Diamond Comic Distributors is completely sold out,  first printings of 28 DAYS LATER #1 may still be found at a direct market retailer near you.

Diamond Comic Distributors is making the second printing of 28 DAYS LATER #1 available for retailers to order immediately and the second printing will be featured in the Septemper 16th issue of Previews Plus in Diamond Dateline.

28 DAYS LATER #1  second print (JUL098219) features a “Blood Red” variant of the Sean Phillips wraparound cover and will hit store shelves by early October.

Complete Just A Pilgrim Hardcover Announced

JustAPilgrimHCCovTex.jpgDynamite Entertainment has announced it will collect the entire Just a Pilgrim story into a hardcover for release in December.

The “Pilgrim” was a U.S. Marine prior to “the burn” and during one mission, he and his comrades were left adrift at sea in a lifeboat, and forced to resort to cannibalism to survive, with Pilgrim being the only survivor by the time help arrived. During his incarceration for subsequent crimes against humanity, but before the great “Burn” the Pilgrim found God and after the Burn, when the sun had claimed the lives and life-giving water of the Earth, he found purpose.

Now, for the first time ever – the series that features the signature anti-hero, as created by writer Garth Ennis and artist Carlos Ezquerra, has been collected in one incredible hardcover edition! Featuring both the original mini-series and the sequel (“Garden of Eden”) mini-series together in a complete hardcover collection.  This volume also contains a complete cover gallery featuring the work of Tim Bradstreet, JG Jones, Glenn Fabry, and many more!
