The wait is over! Since the release of Avatar: The Last Airbender—The Promise and the recent announcement of The Search, both of which directly follow the hit animated series, the anticipation of thousands of digital-comics fans has been high. Now these fans can follow Aang, Sokka, and Katara as they embark on exciting new adventures, direct from the Dark Horse Comics app!
There is a time period between the last episode of Avatar: The Last Airbender and the first episode of Avatar: The Legend of Korra that leaves room for a lot of stories and universe building to take place. We’ve already reviewed Avatar: The Last Airbender on the Major Spoilers Podcast, and it received generally favorable responses from the co-hosts. Sales of the book have been solid as well, and now Dark Horse Comics has announced that The Promise is getting a hardcover library edition that arrives in February 2013.
Today we take two different properties and mash’em up to something that is a bit more awesome, and it comes courtesy of Dave Filoni, who has worked as an animator on Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
From the few episodes of Avatar: The Last Airbender that I’ve had a chance to watch, that Fire Nation is a group you don’t want coming after you.

It looks really good. I wonder how many who know nothing about The Last Airbender will go and see this movie, or will this head the way of the Dragonball flick?
