Stan Lee nabs Natasha Henstridge for Time Jumper

The motion comic, animated comic book features, and general digital comic book distribution is getting the Stan Lee treatment on Thursday, when Lee and Disney Entertainment unveil Time Jumper on the crowd at the San Diego Comic Con.

“Time Jumper” follows Terry Dixon, a college student in possession of his late father’s time-travel invention, the Articulus. After his brother goes missing, Dixon is recruited by H.U.N.T. (Heroes United, Noble and True), a secret crime-fighting unit that sends him through time to thwart Charity Vile, leader of the criminal cartel, C.U.L.T. (Council of Unstoppable, Lethal Terrorists).

To sweeten the deal, Stan “The Man” has landed Natasha Henstridge to voice the lead female character in the series.

I’m all for mobile media fun and entertainment.  If the publishers and companies involved in this kind of content can get the price point just right, it might do more for comics than the movies are doing now.

Xingu Gets the Grim Reaper

Xingu Films has announced it has acquired the rights to American Reaper, an upcoming graphic novel by Pat Mills and Clint Langley for Repeat Offenders.

The story is set in a future where identity theft leads to victims having their minds erased and replaced by those of the elderly rich seeking a second youth or by criminals and terrorists with more sinister motives. A team of special agents, known as Reapers, are formed to track down and terminate those responsible.

Too bad this is all fiction, as I would love a team of comandos to track down and punish identity theft offenders.
