Today, Justice League #1 arrived in comic book stores, featuring a whole new costume for many of the heroes, including an underwear-on-the-outside-less Superman. Coincidentally, we finally get detailed images of Superman’s costume from the upcoming Zack Snyder Man of Steel movie that is pretty revealing.
Much praise has be heaped upon the Batman Beyond universe. It gave us a look at what might come in the next twenty years, and gave us a new group of heroes to root for. While we’ve seen the adventures of Batman, and the Justice League, we’ve only seen Superman here and there. Now he get’s his own story, just in time for everything to change forever.
When the first picture of Henry Cavill as Superman hit the ‘net it wasn’t clear if he would be sporting his red underwear on the outside or if the suit would conform to the new look whipped up by Jim Lee for the DC Relaunch next week. New set photos reveal the answer.

Though it looks like the Superman costume we are used to, it does look a little thicker and almost looks like the amour costume Jim Lee has cooked up. Can’t really tell in the picture if he’s wearing his underwear on the outside, but I do see the texturing looks similar to that Spider-Man costume we’ve seen recently. Guess that is the new H’wood way…

After Marvel’s big news yesterday, there was really only one way for DC/Warner Bros. to step up – announce that Laurence Fishburne will play Perry White in Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel movie.
Yup, we now know what Fishburne will be doing following his surprise exit from CBS’ CSI this past May.
Over the years, there have been a number of talented actors who have played Clark Kent’s boss at the Daily Planet, including Jackie Cooper, who played the newspaper chief in the 1978 Christoper Reeve Superman movie. This is pretty big news, but I really wonder if they’ll make Fishburne say, “Great Caesar’s Ghost!”?
Fishburne now joins a rather impressive cast that consists of Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, and Michael Shannon.
Reports from the show floor have most if not all of DC’s panels very full as people are trying to find any bit of information regarding the changes coming from the company.

Originally, Warner Bros. had slated Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel Superman movie for December 2012, but now the studio has announced it is shifting the release date.
The new date for Man of Steel has been set for June 14, 2013. This aligns the movie with the Summer Blockbuster season, but there’s been no official word on why the move took place. It could have been simply to see what other studios had in the works. We already know Monsters University is set for a June 21 opening. Everyone seems pretty up on David Goyer’s take on the hero, and Christopher Nolan has been keeping a close eye on production, so any real story/director/casting issues are probably not the case.
Of course the push means that if the studio is trying to get a Justice League movie out, this push may have affected that movie release- as well as The Flash, and the rebooted Batman flick – as well.

The DC Relaunch is almost upon us, and will no doubt be THE talk at the San Diego Comic Con this weekend. Besides the renumbering of all the series, Superman is getting a makeover that not everyone is keen on. Not only is the marriage between Clark Kent and Lois Lane over, but Lois already has a new boyfriend…
If you’ve been dying to know what to expect from the upcoming Action Comics relaunch, DC has packaged a series of answers in bullet point form, that also includes the official Action Comics #1 cover.
According to Variety, Harry Lennix has signed on to Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel flick currently in production. The paper claims a high-ranking military officer named General Swanwick.
That brings our known actor list to
Man of Steel is scheduled for a December 2012 release.
In the race to the relaunch, DC’s “Flashpoint” hits its half way point. With the trio of Flash, Batman, and Cyborg hunting for their hopeful Kryptonian savior, can this issue make it to the finish line without falling flat on its face?
